Hi,

How do I resign from a PBEM game? The tide has turned and there is no coming back thus I would like to concede defeat. I think my opponent deserves to see that victory screen! I cant see an option for it. Is there a way?

Thanks Argentum. I was aware of that option but thought there might have been something from within the game. Thanks for the pointer anyway.

Argentum is my opponent that has thought me a harsh lesson in good allied strategy. Barbarossa is stalling badly, North Africa is gone, the Regia Marina is pretty much at the bottom of the Med and my Jap fleet is a shadow of its former self.

Argentum dipped Spain to prevent Romania and Hungary from joining automatically. Very clever move. Did not see that coming. Had me bottled between Hungary and the marshes. I had to invest quite a bit in both to get them to eventually join the axis. Probably too late unfortunately.

On the turn that Italy joined the war Argentum managed to sink most of my battleships and heavy cruisers in port. The Carriers were very effective in this.

The first clear weather turn after the oil embargo i took the Dutch East Indies. I had my entire Jap navy in support. I had noticed that Argentum had positioned some naval vessels in the area to conduct a counter attack once I attacked the dutch and everyone declared war on Japan. I did manage to take out a few of them but I did not realise that he had sent over his med fleet to join up with everything he had in the Pacific to take me on. His counter was far larger than estimated. The list of losses was not pleasant.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I think Japan need to invest way more in its Navy early on and curtail its plans for China. Italy will need to find the security of the Atlantic and definitely pay close attention to diplomacy.

BZ to argentum.

that player "Argentum" is maybe a good player, but never heard about fair play, since he was exploiting the movement bug at the very beginning of my game.

It al seemed above board. It does appear that he studies the mechanics and nuances of the game to a much greater degree than me!

Double mouvment for units in certain position. I do not know exact conditions of this bug, but it can be reproduced on the first Allies turn in China with 100% probability and with high probability in Poland on the first Аxis turn (helps take Poland on first turn). Sorry I cant post images.

Thanks,
Hubert

To reproduce this bug you need several steps:
1) Create hotseat match;
2) As Japan move unit from Tientsin somewhere to Manchuria;
3) End turn;
4) As China move unit from hex 182, 55 to 184, 52;
5) Move unit from hex 182, 53 to Tientsin;
6) Move unit from Sian to hex 185, 51;
7) You get a bug!

Thanks, Hubert. Your support of this and your other games (even at Battlefront, I was there under a different username) remains as an example of how it should be done.
