Thought I would try something new by transporting a Italian army to the Italian East Africa colony's.
Shipped it via the loops by Gibraltar, and sailed around South Africa and arrived before Italy joined the war.
But I am unable to land the army in Italian East Africa.

WHY?

If the Allies can land units in Allied country's, then surely Italy can land units in its colony's,

Also in the Beta test, I highlighted that the Italian destroyer that comes with the Italian East African territories should be reclassed as a Italian unit, but it still surrenders when the Italian East Africa colony's do.

If possible please make it, so that Italy can try to do something different and mix things up (What if Games)

When that Italian Destroyer appears, I immediately reinforce it to strength 8 and send it down to the 'raid' and Convoy hexes around Cape Town.

I don't bother reinforcing or sending anything to East Africa or Ethiopia - wasting good money after bad..

This destroyer belongs to the expedition East Italian territories, its okay if they surrender with IEA.
yeah the Port should be open for Italian troops, but for me this is usually not a problem in PBEM I have to wait maximum 1 turn.

completely disagree to heinzbaby, if your Axis tactic is to rush for Egypt with additional German Troops before Rommel arrives, this colony is very important for flanking reasons, Sudan and Kenya. And even more important you can block the Suez-Canal.

The problem with landing units in Italian East Africa has now been resolved our side, the same with US units being able to sail through the Panama Canal before the USA enters the war, and will be rolled out in a patch in due course.

Additionally, the Destroyer will also be Italian in the future too. [:)]

Thanks - I thought it was just me. I have two Italian garrisons I sailed around the horn of Africa, but they are unable to land at Mogadishu. Will they be able to land once Italy is in the war? Right now it is January 1940 and Italy is still neutral.

Yes, once Italy is fully mobilized you'll be able to access the ports.

Good work, Bill. Now just give us a 1940 and a 1941 start scenario and I’ll be happy.
