How do you install the GD 1938 update. I downloaded the current version from Vic's website and clicked on install zip file. Did not do much. And how do you know when it is installed.

For me it created a folder called gd1938 and put the game file there.

The Unzip function of ATG is actually really smart.

It unzips atzip files (created in the editor) and places all graphics, sounds and such, in addition to the scenario, the places the creator has chosen. The end result is that people that download don't have to worry about all of those things. The only thing that might be a little more convenient would be that the unzip function told you where to look for the new scenario file.

In this case it is in subdirectory of the standard scenario folder, called GD1938v3. Here it will deposit the latest version, with its version number as part of its name.

Ok, I have located GD 1938 Vs 101. How do I get a file from the past version to load with the updated one. In other words, I click load scenario, and the update wants to start a new game. Do I start a new game and then stop and load the file from the old version. Confused!

Updates do not affect current games. So you need to start a new game with this file to get the benefits. So you cannot load an old version of the game, and gain the benefits of the new version. Sorry.
