Operation Barbarossa started !

Turn 2 - June 29th 1941
AGN: Riga has been liberated and is now part of the Reich
AGC: Progressing toward Minsk
AGS: Panzers ready to enter Zhitomir, 27th Army Korp/197/198 Inf Division 50 km from Odessa.

Finland: Finnish Forces launched their offensive.

- Pacific: Everything's quiet
- Palestine: Combats, difficult situation for the Reich
- Tobruk/Lybia: The city of Tobruk is heavily defended, including by a massive fleet and won't fall. Allies attacking Lybia from their position in Egypt.
- Malta: German attempt to seize the island failed. Heavy losses for the German Navy.
- Battle of Britain: Sporadic strikes, status quo
- North Sea: some German naval marginal victories

Quick update about the situation in the Reich:

- North Africa is a mess.
- Palestine is lost
- Battle of Britain in standby. We Officially offer peace to Churchill in exchange for half the caucasian oilfields. Rudolf Hess boarding his Messerschmidt with an unofficial offer to Churchill.
- Barbarossa in good progress. The plan remains to spend Christmas in the Kremlin
- Pacific is ... pacific.

- Libya has been totally lost by the Reich.
- Eastern front progression starts to be much more difficult. First Logistic problems encountered. Soviet resistance intensifies.
- Odessa, Pskov, Kiev and Smolensk have fallen.
- Finland under control. The siege of Leningrad has started from the north !

Turn 18 - October the 19th, 1941

- Hong Kong has fallen
- The Finland front is progressing
- Eastern front, AGN: The fall of Leningrad !
- AGC Some progress toward Moscow. The Soviets capital is just 8 hexes away ... but I guess the hardest hexes. Blitzkrieg has stopped and thing now rather look like trench war with very slow progress, low moral, low supply. And winter is coming !
- The battle for Briansk. The city is totally destroyed and no clear winner has yet emerged. Deadly fights ongoing and the German progress is blocked there for a good month now by some rogue units.
- AGS: Kiev has fallen. Some progress toward Rostov. We are around Nikopol.

!!! BUT !!!
- A very unpleasant surprise: the Allied have landed in Romania, took Bucharest and now control the Ploesti Oil Fields ! Some special forces have been detached to counter this vile offensive. Last but not least, a secondary landing took us by surprised in an ungarded Odessa ! Things are getting complex ! The Fuhrer is ... furious !

Winter is here ! Men are fighting in very cold temperature.
AGN: Leningrad has fallen. Troops are going to manage the junction with Finland troops coming from Petrozavodsk in the north.
AGC: Progress toward Moscow is very slow. Logistic disabled. The Fuhrer is furious.
AGS: After the Allied managed to land in Odessa and Romania the situation in the Balkans is critical. Operation Hammer has started. It will be determinant for the rest of the war. All progress toward Rostov is halted.
Pacific theater: All is calm despite some Air/Naval troops movement detected

Turn 20 - November 2nd, 1941 - Operation Hammer

I love the name "Operation Hammer"..
I should start naming mine I don't usually do that.
Anyways, you can have Ploesti back. It ended up being a 1/2 sized army raid anyway. I thought the Romanians would surrender if I took there political center but I saw in the fine print that it wont happen before 1943. That means I'm two years early and I will have to fight the Romanians anyway.
I'm just gonna blame that on the wake n bake.
I'm reuniting the army at Odessa and then attacking Italy.
Fascism, defined as, 'the political manifestation of bigotry', WILL end soon...
Stalin, in this alternate reality, is fully cooperative, in any way he can, with his allies.
I just love that.

News of the War -
Turn 26 - December 14th, 1941

Eastern Front update
- AGN continues its progress
- AGC: Moscow in sight !! Still struggling for Briansk !
- AGS: "Operation Hammer" was a success ! Communists booted out of Romania. Trying to regain Odessa.

Pacific theater update.
- Japan launched an attack on China
- Japan surprise attacks on Wake Island and on Midway Island!

Just a quick picture for you to understand the violence of the Soviet counter-attack/landing in Odessa and Romania ! It's was a devastating attack. Fortunately glorious German soldiers were able to react with a perfectly timed Operation Hammer. But the damage is obvious! We are back to zero. AGS is in trouble !

Turn 36 - February the 22nd, 1942

- The war rages on the whole planet.
- The brave forces of the Reich encounter massive difficulties on the eastern front. Moscow in sight for 3 months but all progress has been stopped. The vile Soviets launched massive counter attacks in Briansk (that we were never able to secure), around Kiev and west of Moscow.
As a result, the Fuhrer ordered the launch of operation Naked Frog !

- Feb 22nd. Japanese fleet attacks Pearl Harbor !

- Sino-Japanese war counts deads by hundred of thousands on both sides. The conflict is escalating as Japan forces enter soviet Union.
