Historical MOD: Infantry/Cavalry factor doubt
Posted: Mon Feb 04, 2019 9:12 am
Hi!
I'm modding in a historical size mod for EIH. It's a long term project i had and i would ask to devs/board creators what are the conversion.
Actually game makes 1 infantry factor a number between 2000-4000 men and France starts with a number of 135 I factors and 17 Cavalry.
Taken from real numbers, and using a regiment of about 3000 (nominal numbers) it gives from real data of major powers:
104 infantry
30 light infantry
18 cavalry* (or 25)
4 guards.**
13 artillery***.
28 foreign troops.
It gives for Austria
5 Guards.
81 Infantry
20 Light Infantry
13 militia
18 cavalry (or 20)
4 Artillery
Prussia:
9 Guards
35 Infantry (yes.. 35!).
6 Light infantry
5 Militia
20 (or 22) cavalry
5 artillery
Russia:
13 Guards
59 Infantry
14 Light Infantry
20 Militia
20 Cavalry
Spain:
4 Guards
43 Infantry
5 Light Infantry
14 Militia
11 Cavalry
United Kingdom:
9 Guards
22 Infantry
3 Light infantry
12 (or 15) Cavalry
Ottoman Empire (i'm searching data actually), without eyalets, feudal.....
31 Infantry
4 Light Infantry
10 (or 19) Cavalry.
* Not making differences between heavy and light and dragoons and others... Cavalry number of horses equal to 3000... But cavalry should have less man. In parenthesis a value having the heavy cavalry counting double... (cuirassiers and carabiniers)
** Guard are taking less, about 2000 men if old guard
*** Artillery taking half factor 1500/men.
