Hi,

Seem to be having all sort of issues with Helos in Eyes,ears & teeth scenario!

Can it be right that the only thing that kills Hinds is artillery ?

The Avenger SAM units are useless(have not shot down one Hind yet with SAMS), as is small arms fire against the hinds.

But when I attack the Hinds with neutralizing fire from my 155mm artillery, I can shoot them down!

Does this make sense to anyone ?

Losing a bit of faith with the game.

Uhm, in my games I have seen that IFV's autocannons have good hit % against helos and they are a real threat to them.

From what I understand, in this game helos fly at treetop level to take advantage of terrain cover. If a salvo of 155mm lands next to a helo flying so close to the ground, or even worse hovering, the shells don't even need to score a direct hit. Simply the blast effects from the explosions, as well as shrapnel from the shells and splinters from trees and rocks will blow any helo from the sky. Of course, firing at helos with 60 or 81mm mortars is virtually useless, their rounds being too light to be really effective.
