Whats the consensus of opinion of the overall game play of FITE in the new and more detailed TOAW 4 version as compared to the older TOAW 3 version?

What's the consensus of opinion of the overall game play of FITE in the new and more detailed TOAW 4 version as compared to the older TOAW 3 version?
Gameplay of the two versions is almost identical as far as I can tell. Be aware that there's a 5.0 version of FITE.
