Should the AI ... 'save private Ryan'?

That's the question.

In my brief experience with SC-WaW, I noticed that one of the biggest differences between the human player and AI is in the different tendency to 'save Private Ryan'.

I try to explain myself.
The human player normally tends to replace losses and repair ships.
The AI much less, especially in the case of ships (which continues to sail and fight with enormous damage ...)

Eventually this difference manifests itself in the different loss-ratios.
The loss-ratio (against the AI) in the number of units is, generally, much greater than in MPP terms.

obviously, IMHO

The human is better at squeezing every attack onto one unit in order to eliminate it. It is odd that the computer isn't better than us at doing this. I mean, we can't sit here all turn, every turn, every game and calculate to the last the units and attacks needed in order to completely eliminate a unit because it is too tedious, but the computer surely can, yet it doesn't. I'm glad it doesn't, but I admit that I often feel that I am beating up my little brother.
