When I check the Operations Report it only ever shows the report for Dec. 7 1941. Also same for the Signit screen.

What version of the game are you running? Although what I am thinking of may not apply to games against the AI.
Check the folder the game is in - the Save folder is the correct subfolder I think. I'd bet that you only have the December 7 reports in there, for whatever reason. Against the AI, or with older versions of the game before the reports were hard-written into the turn file, only the text files that are actually in the folder under "operationsreport.txt" (not the one with the date appended to the name) will show up in the game's menus.
It's a weird quirk, however shouldn't be an issue if you are successfully running the game's replays that generate the reports. Please walk us through exactly what you are doing, and let us know which game version.

You need to have the -archive switch set to get the reports saved every turn.

I'm running the Beta and playing the Iron Man as the allies. I'm affraid I don't know what this is or means (You need to have the -archive switch set to get the reports saved every turn).

If you have gotten the game to run properly (without problems with jerky scrolling, graphics bleed-through, etc., you have probably already set some of the switches needed to do this in the WITP-AE shortcut icon properties. Just add the -archive switch to the string, ensuring there is only a single space between it and the adjoining switches.
My string is:
"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -altFont -archive -deepColor -px1680 -py1050 -w -fixedArt -skipVideo -multiaudio -SingleCpuOrders -cpu3
If you are not familiar with switches, you are missing one of the biggest helpers in playing the game. There is a thread in the "Stickied" section at the top of the Tech support problem that shows how and where to set them up:
tm.asp?m=4592590

Pretty sure that's only if you want them saved each turn. I have exactly no switches set on my Win 7 computer (by choice) and have no problem displaying the current turns' Op Reports.

The issue is that in each turn, it refers to just the "operationsreport.txt" or "combatreport.txt" - so if you run a different replay from a different game (say, a fresh December 7) it will overwrite those files, and those will be displayed in whatever save file you load up.
This is the behavior with or without the -archive switch.
