Check with Customer Support. The problem you are having could occur with any of the Matrix/Slitherine games and Customer Support has a lot of experience helping with all kinds of problems installing newly purchased games.

I am not sure what kind of machine you are using, but a ZIP file can be opened as compressed folder in most versions of MS Windows (including 7, 8, and 10).

Try to open the file from your file manager and just copy the executable to a folder.
