Hi, could you provide additional information on how this ghost target is generated? I haven't been able to reproduce the issue locally. Does it still show up for you after loading the scenario?

I'm sure they are units got shot down, there were JZ-8F or UAVs and I notice when I reload the scen file, they just disappear. So the scen files I uploaded was Kind of Nothing. Sorry about it. But I played this scenario for twice after the latest Update came, and I experienced twice. Another thing I notice was They only shoot AAM-5 (short range IR missile) and 20mm Guns, not AAM-4B(AMRAAM-class).
I will check my game's update did it correctly.

Here is a minimal scenario save which can create a non existant unit bug. Play the scenario forward to around 14:00:00 Zulu and observe the F/A-18 on the OPFOR side take off and attempt to engage a currently nonexistant MALD-J (it will take off shoot a couple MALD-J down and land again, but the bug only appears when it takes off the second time).
If on loading the scenario, the ready time of the F-18 is set to 1 hour and 30 minutes (so that the MALD-J run out of fuel before the F-18 launches for the first time) it will not attempt to engage the MALD-J. This also does not happen with Air Intercept missions.

I just saw this as well. In the attached save, Flight Spiff50 just launched a couple of Sidewinders at I don't know what....
I think I also saw this in Havana Daydreaming. The unit was different, but I also think it was a Sidewinder variant that was fired.

Here's another one.... Same scenario, different flight. Same general area. Maybe it's location related?
I was expecting Flight TopGun40, which was engaged offensive, to attack the 2 J-20s to the west. When they started firing, I noticed there were no weapons allocated to the J-20s, and then realized they were firing Sidewinders from 1000ft ASL.

Thanks, I think we have this one fixed. Special thanks to Zanthra, couldn't have found it without your scenario. Getting a tiny scenario with only a few units that shows the issue is super helpful.

I believe I have just experienced the same issue on the scenario "Fire and Brimstone" on Northern Inferno.

Here is the save file of the event right after it happened. My F4's seem to be firing at non-existent air targets. This is happening for me since I set the doctrine to "Winchester engage targets of opportunity with air to air guns PREFERRED".
