Has anyone flipped DEI to Axis in MP? There seems to be some event that swings DEI way towards Allied after I invested a ton of MPP to get them to Axis.

Never tried this, just overrun them in one turn, when the time is right.
Have you declared war on someone? Or maybe its the oil embargo.

I got it to work once. Nice because I got three ships, an infantry and an air unit and can use my amphibs for other landings.

It's not related to the Netherlands. It's probably some event I'm not seeing because it's not a pop-up. The DEI stays at 25% towards Japan and then seems to randomly flip to like plus 8-10 towards Allies. This only seems to happen in games where I invest diplo in them

I think this will be the oil embargo, so if you're going to try to swing the DEI to join the Axis, pump maximum diplomacy chits into it right from the start.

It must be the first turn of the oil embargo?

I got DEI to flip once. Yugo is more of a priority.

Not sure that flipping DEI would be worth the cost, plus if they join the axis and later the capital is taken by the allies, all the territory of the DEI turns over to Allied control.

If you conquer the DEI and the allies take the capital, all the conquered territory does not revert to allied control.

I would like to hear how you are flipping Yugo to the axis. That would be better I think for the allies.

Yugo starts significantly pro-axis, but you have to pour diplo chits in to sway it the rest of the way before the coup event triggers. If you do this though, its a significant advantage.
