Move Army HQ with attached unit?

You can attach units to the Amry HQ, but is there a way to move attached units with the Army? Currently you have to move the attached units individually. I was hoping they can move as a group as with Corps HQs.

I am impressed with how innovative CotD is and wonder why there isn't more games like it. The manual refers to the game as "1809". I guess it was originally planned as a series.

I also wish the manual could be updated. It is apparent that the original game had been vastly changed through the patches.

Attaching units to the Army commander was a new addition to the latest update (v3.05), but it doesn't work like a corps command, as the units have to be given separate orders.

The value of attachment to the army commander is that it uses the higher attributes of the commander to restore units which have been shattered and they can form a useful reserve for other tasks without overloading the corps commanders. Army attached units can be used for separate recon missions, or as defence for towns and river crossings, without splitting up the main corps.

There are slots in the game files for other campaigns, but nothing has happened yet. This is a great game even though the transfer from the older game is not complete, with the manual not updated, etc., but unless there is more activity on the forum it is unlikely that much will happen.

CotD is an innovative and exceptional game, but until more players realise this there can be little progress.

Another thought,

You don't want the Army commander to be operating as a corps commander, taking attached units with him as he moves about the map.

The Army commander needs to be able to move quickly to where the action is, sometimes attaching himself to a corps to share his higher combat attributes. It's useful to have units attached to the Army Commander from time to time, but you don't want a close attachment.

Yeah, it's pointless treating the Army as yet another corps. A big bonus to have units attached to the Army is that they receive orders faster. That's what independent units are all about. Best method for scouts.
