Unable to complete production

I have a bad feeling I know what is going on here... It seems a lot like a problem we had in this game before where we bumped into the upper limit of the units allowed... anyhow, let's see if it can be replicated!

In the attached file build whatever you can and go onto the next country's production. I can't open reopen the file thereafter. Can anyone please conform? there are a few other funky things in this game... but one thing at a time!

CanInf,
I was able to proceed to combine division phase with no problem. There are only 3 turns left so the BP needed to be saved as the game will be over before reinf arrive.
BTW, what are you trying to do? Build every unit in the game. I've never seen so many units on the map before.

Thanks, and you were able to reload the game after production? yeah no kidding about the units! I am the axis... so it's fine by me... my position now is all but bullet proof in Europe. Might have an issue with the USN ... basically every carrier built and jet 11 factor CVPs!! zoom!!

No problems here with this game too. Loading takes a bit long, but that's to be expected with so much units on the map.

hmnm... and you tried re-opening the file after the production? if so then it's my end... perhaps a re-install might do the trick?

I tried again and it works fine for me. I am at a loss as to what it could be. Perhaps go back 1 turn and try again?

scrubbed my old game, reinstalled the game, started from the end of last turn and still can't reload the game after production... it's time to start a new game!

I got the same problem.

I am playing the Global War on 3.0.1, and it was working fine until the late 1941 turn. Each Axis Production form takes around 5 minutes to process. I noted that the German production file is saved as the US Production file, and there is no updated German Production file that gets saved (but the game still works...). I think this has something to do with it.

I have a gamesave here at the US Entry, as soon as it is completed, the German Production form goes into a very long loop.

It takes indeed a long time to load the production planning forms. However, there doesn't seem to be a problem to continue the game, using the latest beta version.

I have been looking at this game. The convoys at sea are fairly few and all seem to be in the perfect places. The calculation should be fairly instantaneous. It is taking a long time to figure out how to fulfill the build point trade agreements.

There should be some heuristics in the trade agreement code, particularly Allied trade with China. If the US is giving China a single non-oil resource, MWiF should first check to see if this can be filled by the Philippine resource. Similarly, the first try for a single non-oil resource from France should come from Indochina, and a single oil from the CW should come from Burma. I have frequently seen trade with China foul up a whole production set up.

Having these hardcoded in might not be elegant, but would be fast.
