Romanian mini campaign - two scenarios

So far all units of other countries are only non-core, because they only appear in one scenario.

Romanians are an exception, there are two Romanian scenarios - Kishinev and Odessa. Some Romanian units gain experience in the first scenario so they could receive some attachments.
After adding Odessa scenario to 1941 campaign Romanians can also be core units and gain experience.

This very small Romanian campaign, named ''Luptatori'' (Warriors in Romanian) will include Kishinev and Odessa scenarios. Some infantry divisions, 7th cavalry brigade, some artillery units and air force will be core.
German units will be auxiliary in this campaign.
Before Odessa scenario the core units from Army Group Antonescu will be transferred to the 4th Romanian army and used in Odessa scenario.
This is a small test campaign to see how Army Group Antonescu works, so that 1941 campaign can have some Romanians with experience.
Odessa scenario is very challenging and a good tutorial before attacking fortified lines - Epic Wjasma, Mozhaisk and Moscow.

Hi AngrySwan,

cool stuff - i always had a Romanian and/or Hungarian campaign in the back of my head, too. But then the Soviets took longer than i hoped for.

My idea, which was just a rough one, would have been a southern route with special battles (like certain towns, small operational stuff) until Stalingrad, where you could succeed in stopping the Red Flood if you had played very good.

Still the last bit would have been difficult to balance to create the right experience, i suppose as the AI lacks certain abilities.

But your idea as a tutorial/introduction is nice and i look forward to try it.

Hi Ronald,

Lets see what you think about this one, I need a couple of days to test it.

I also have a standalone scenario ''Odessa Disbalanced''- the German 11th army commander sends his reinforcements (Bf 109, Ju 87, 20 M18 and Sturmpionier battalion) to Odessa on day 1. Of course Axis are stronger in this case, I got a BV in 14 turns. The 70th Sturmpionier (combat engineer for those who do not speak German) battalion were T-Rexes of the battlefield and finally took Odessa on day 14. Of course they were supported by artillery and infantry, otherwise they would be massacred.

In fact, there are several things you could try:

- the new 1941 - 1942 campaign
- Odessa disbalanced (I guess the victory time must be reduced for that one)
- Kharkov 1941 (so far only infantry units, one light tank for Slovaks and I did not put a KV in that scenario but the AI buys one)
- Bryansk, only infantry on both sides, 2nd panzer group for Germany and some T-34s around Mzensk.
