Are you planning to start the game perhaps earlier than Sep 1st, 1939?

The game has a political influence system in it. Countries gain political points and they can perform the following actions toward a neutral country.

Influence - Small increase in entry toward your side. The more a country is toward your alliance the greater the benefit
Coup - Very small chance of success but if you fail it drives the entry toward the other alliance.

Neutral countries have loyalty which tells the players which side the country favors, Axis or Allied.

Romania has an Axis loyalty and a high entry toward the Axis, but has their entry increased in Nov of 1940 to join the Axis
USA has an Allied loyalty and a low entry toward the Allies, but will increase it's entry over time entering the war Mid 1942. Axis conquests increase their entry.

But to design a pre-1939 scenario would take a lot of creativity as the game is not suited specified for political action even though it has some. It is recommended not to play with the political part. I include it because people like it.

I will be adding some minor scenarios in as time goes on.

are the different years linked? in other words can you export your achievement into next year

The game is based on victory points not achievements, so no.

What, no Barbarossa scenario?!?

What is Barbarossa ? We have never heard speaking about Barbarossa or Alésia!

I wold think that 1940 and 1941 are pretty 'critical' scenarios to include.

1940, 1941 is in the works. I had to take care of some coding before starting the next scenario for the Beta test. Some bugs that I wanted to work out.

1940 Start! Fantastic. I hate slogging through 1939 to get to 1940. Almost all the critical decisions were made in this year. Battle of Britain, Sea Lion or not, Barbarossa or not, Vichy or not, North Africa, Spain, the fate of the French Fleet, U-boats or not, etc..

This to me is basically where the world leaders had to make the choices that pretty decided how the war would be fought.
