3.0.2. Zombie Vichy CP

I have a Vichy CP coming out of production and there's no place to put him. So, I use the <backspace> key to destroy him and get the notification from MWiF that he was destroyed. However, he (re)appears in the production queue ready for placement. So, I'm stuck in an endless loop and the game is stuck too.

This is odd. If there is no place to put a unit, it should just be shoved to appear next turn.

Are you sure there isn't a space for that unit? Remember, one CP can appear in any aligned minor. Surely the Vichy French have some minor with a port; the Allies haven't conquered them all, have they?

Well they do, Algiers, Algeria but it's currently holding 4 Vichy ships so there's no more room for the CP and the game won't let me place it there. Otherwise, I'm at a loss where he should go.

Who owns Papeeta? Martinique? Mangareva? Djibouti? The Seychelles? Reunion? There are a lot of tiny islands in out of the way spots that, if they went Vichy, the Allies may not have bothered to recapture.
