Alliance-related contact bug

Hi there,
As of the most recent update there seems to be a new issue where alliances (apparently either one-way or two-way, but I'm not precisely sure) cause a cycle where contacts are acquired and then lost every pulse, which taxes the system and fills up the message log. Any chance this can be fixed with the coming patch?
