Several times have had a unit suicide during a fs. The unit strafes the same airfield every cycle, sustaining losses each time until none remain. Anyone else seen this?

Hi, do you have a save file you can send me? There were some changes made to the strafing code before we took over the project. I need to see what is going on.

Doing one right now will send u save tomorrow. 3 or 4 fs attacking a non target airfield. Annoying lost 6+ mossies to flak when they return again and again to strafe.

Here is another one missions 70-75 attacked leeuwarden, took varying amounts of damage then went on to target‎. Mission 69 went wrong way after bombing. Hope this helps. If you are working on sweeps I have some ideas to fix them. Let me know if you are interested. Keep up the good work

try renaming the .btr save file to .txt and upload it. I'll change it back to .btr on my end.

Any word on Fighter sweeps? I have a save with an odd one. A Fg did a sweep then attacked every airfield on way home, getting decimated in the process. It was on bingo fuel the entire return trip, but kept attacking. Haven't seen this before, outward bound yes, return no. Let me know if anyone wants save

Been doing some research on airfield raids during ww2. Here is what came up:
1) full attack was not committed unless target was valid, i.e. aircraft were there.
2) very low level attacks took lower flak damage, but were more likely to lose a/c due to accidents (flew into terrain)
3) some a/c assigned to flak supression, greatly reduced losses
4) if airfield was in process of launching or recovering it took a great deal of losses.
5) airfield took some hours to recover to the point of being able to launch coherent interception

Our current model does not appear to have flak supression or account for low level attack surprise. This might be worth thnking about if modifying FS missions.

Defending fighters also seem to be able to launch without incurring casualties, too.

This is a new one!! I sent multiple f sweeps against Overlord afields. 2 or 3 of them started strafing railyards that were not near target, or route!! Totally ignoring target airfields. Never saw this before. Has anyone else seen this??

Is there a fix in the works for this FS targeting problem? Sent 2 fs on same target, same route, 1 hour apart. 1st mission hit target correctly, 2nd attacked nearby railyard. Route deliberately avoided this area, but mission ignored airfield! Unit had not been intercepted, had no fatigue, good morale and exp. This is driving me nuts!
