2. Dec 7 morning, before PH strike (Campaign 41, Other campaigns choice a or b Rising Sun)

3. Dec 7 afternoon, after PH strike with historical results figured (Other campaigns choice c Tora Tora Tora)

4. May 42 before Coral Sea (Campaign 42)

5. Aug 42 before Guadalcanal (Campaign Solomons)

4. May 42 before Coral Sea (Campaign 42). Japan has finished his blitzkrieg and can choose his strategy with a -still- powerful navy.

I suppose I should answer my own question.

prefer one of the Dec 7 start dates for PBEM and will play either side.

For me it is Campaign, either before or after PH at IJN players option, I only play USN, and I only play versus a Human opponent.

As I only play all out, anything goes, against AI either as Japan or Allies I like to set up my own Dec 7th attacks.
Would be nice if, as Japan, you could set up a pre dec 7th turn to position shipping etc for the Dec 7th attacks.
Having to relocate the HQ to make a KB Pearl strike is a pain.
As allies I still prefer post PH strike, so a Dec 14th start.
