I've been working on a Boer vs Zulu scenario and I've hit a snag.
I found a truck that (from the top view) looks a bit like a wagon and I used a circle of them to represent the Boer laager. Then I set their movement rates all to zero.
The problem is that when I started playtesting, I found the trucks quickly get repaired by their crews and start driving around.
I've tried raising the damage level, but that didn't help.
I've also tried removing their crews, but that just destroys them.
Is there any way to stop them from moving? To immobilise them permanently? Could they be reclassified as forts? Is it hopeless?
I'm stumped.

Firstly, a giggle
"Hey, you lager teams! Quit your d**n repairing of stuff! We got Zulus!!"
Since you're just going for the "look", can't you have them destroyed or Zero men??
Rather than a vehicle can't you find some small sheds or something?

Set trucks & crews experience & morale very low.

Or you can try to set their speed to zero using the 'D' key.

I don't understand what you mean.
I can abandon them during the game buy pressing 9, but that doesn't work in the editor. Also the computer wouldn't do that while playing the Boer side. And its when the computer plays them that the problem comes up.
If I make the number of men 0 then it doesn't move. But its also burning.
I've also tried the other suggestion of setting the exp and morale to 0 but they STILL manage to fix them.
I did find some buildings that will work, but they can't be aranged quite as nicely and I end up with a big hexagon looking laager.
Maybe I'll just have to make due with that.
I apreciate all the suggestions though. Thanks for the help guys!

Start the scen...exit the trucks SAVE! Then overwrite the scen files with the save files (re-name them .scen) and then open the scen in the editer..Wu-la

You can also use this trick to lay smoke (fog) and if you play around with it you will come up with some neat ideas!
