Wait! The coup was against Marxists? Not initiated by Marxists? And one of our goals was: "restore orderly and lawful government to Grenada"? So returning it to the Communists?
I have so many questions!

Gen. Hudson Austin was the commander-in-chief of the People's Revolutionary Army, which was the armed forces of the People's Revolutionary Government, which was itself a marxist government. So, yes. It was a coup by one marxist dictator against another marxist dictator. Additionally, as indicated in the final paragraph of the AAR, after the invasion, democratic elections were held and the invasion is still celebrated in Grenada as a day of thanksgiving.
