how do you cut off your enemy supply with the railroad? Do you destroy them somehow or do you have to occupy the land?

In other words can I bomb a railroad?

Not that I am aware of. You have to have control over the railroad hex.

That said, I am not sure what happens when you cut the rail over Murmansk to Moscow. Do they still get the lend-lease? It didn't change to Archangel that I was aware of in 1.03 when I cut the route to the AI.

I think bombing, using strategic bombers on "Town/City" hexes along a road and RR rout, will do what you're looking for more or less. Without a supply source hexes along the way, the RR hexes by them selves, don't extend a HQ's supply much further.

That is correct, you don't bomb the rail, you bomb the 'railhub' in the towns/cities. That will allow you to isolate sections of the map, and that makes it impossible for your opponent to defend [:)]

Gosh. This was totally new.

But at what level of destruction is the railway non-working? In the brief moment when the urban area reaches "0"?? Is this in the manual and not "de-patched"?

An urban resource with a railway running through it needs to be at strength 5 or more for the railway to work. If below that strength then land units cannot operate via rail to/from/via that location.

Right, but what about what I asked about cutting the rail north of Leningrad. How does the lend-lease from Murmansk get through if you cut it off?

Lend Lease and other similar convoy structures only look at the Port strengths and in this case the sending and receiving ports would need to be above strength 5 as well.
