Command doesn't launch after steam update. I have purchased all of the DLC too. After every update the game no longer launches. My workaround is to uninstall CMANO and all of the DLC then install the DLC one at a time and to launch and exit each DLC before proceeding to the next. Only after reinstalling all of the DLC can I reinstall CMANO and get it successfully launch.

Can you clarify "after steam update"?

Does this mean "after the Steam client has been updated"?

Or does it mean "after Command has been updated to the latest version through Steam"?

If the latter, which version are you on at the moment?

Also, what does "doesn't launch" mean exactly?

We need more information in order to be able to help.

Dimitris it was after I think he solved it from the link I gave him, as I have heard nothing else here, or on STEAM . I believe it occured right after a STEAM CLIENT update, but I will not swear thats what he meant. When he tries to play the game after any update on STEAM either client or STEAM APP I think he was having this issue ? If I see anything I will let you know.

I am thinking he has not updated the client fully.........ever..... , for some reason or other, and it has to do with the recent STEAM USERS and launching both STEAM and CMANO in ADMIN , fromm a few months ago.

After steam updates CMANO. The CMANO game launcher/menu will start. Then I click on "Play Command Modern Air Naval Operations". The game begins to load but never completes. The command executable is present in task manager but isn't using CPU time.

Dimitris I got a PM from him yesterday and it was still not working properly, every time the CMANO CLIENT updates (Steam version of CMANO), when he tries to play the launcher works just fine, but once hes chooses his Campaign or SCENARIO it starts to load but never executes or plays the actual client itself. Has the CMANO.exe in his TASK MANAGER but it shows 0% Utilization of the CPU .

I never even get the menu to choose the campaign or scenario.

The game works Dimitris. Just that after steam updates it I got to uninstall CMANO and each of the DLC then reinstall the DLC one at a time. Launch each DLC and exit them at least once. Then I have to reinstall CMANO.

Once I fix it everything works as it should until the next time the game is updated.

This is one of the wierdest problems I have ever heard of.

I've called Matrix's support guys to have a look at this.

Okay, the tech ninjas say that it's definitely a problem either with Steam or the OS.

If it's not too much of a burden, can you uninstall and re-install Steam?

I got about 200+ titles installed in my Steam Library. It's going to be a while till I can get around to it.

reinstalling steam doesn't effect your installed game, it's a repair, which only updates missing or faulty files

Is this still an issue?

Can we please get an update on this ?
