Can you do squad size based missions in Armored Brigade?
I really want to get AB but cannot manage whole armies effectively.

Also, how long does the shorter missions take to play?
I have 3 young kids and don't have much more than an hour or two to play in the evening..

It's possible to have platoon vs platoon battles, or even vehicle vs vehicle, but the engine is not really optimized for that scale. Small battles are good for learning how the system works.

I think the time to finish a mission really depends on the way you play it. If you don't micromanage much and use time compression then it's certainly possible to complete a small battle in an hour.
