Not being a military man, I have never learnt the NATO icons off by heart.
Is there an option for pictographic icons instead, e.g. a tank, a helicopter for the counters?

I bought the game and, for anyone else wondering, it doesn't matter as you can enlarge the unit sprites so that it is clear what units you are seeing.
The NATO icons appear to be only used on the group flag.
