UAVs and UCAVs are unable to launch from a carrier, always show as "waiting for available runway or elevator"
Those however which are classed as helicopters (MQ-8 family for example) are able to. The UCAVs (Valkyrie for example) can launch from even a destroyer deck in the simulation with no issues, so I cannot yet understand why they are unable to launch from a carrier.

edit- I considered attaching a file to show an example but having a lot of trouble with the website from this location...however, it is easy to see just add various UAVs to a carrier in any scenario and order them to launch- the only ones able to do so successfully will be those listed as helicopters.

Aircraft have to be capable of a carrier take off to operate from carriers. Try the X-47B

I can see that...just not sure why a destroyer deck can launch them when a carrier cannot

In my own scen… I had them operating from a LHD...which they did easily as well...but when it was sunk, landed them on a carrier...then never could get them to take off again.

Working fine here, make sure they aren't trying to load up on Hydra or other munitions that aren't available on the carrier. (Or give the carrier Hydra / etc)

Yes will try when I get to a better wifi later... I can land those MQ-8/9 series easily and take off... the Valkyrie (Cannot recall its designation right now, but it is an X- I think..) was the specific model that got me testing, once it could not take back off when forced to land on a carrier- after being on an LHD... I then experimented with all UAV types, and could get them to take off from destroyers, cruisers, LHDs, etc...but only the ones marked as helicopters could take off from CVN of Nimitz or Ford class.

What you're describing appears to be a bug where UAVs that aren't supposed to be able to land on carriers/take off from destroyers are able to do so. Only a select few UAVs are able to takeoff from carriers/ships. The MQ-9 shouldn't be able to operate off of carriers, only naval UAVs like the MQ-8 and X-49B should be able to operate off of naval vessels as one is a helicopter and the other is a carrier-borne naval aircraft with a tailhook.

Here is a quick scenario...note that LHD, CG, and DDG can all operate the Valkyrie... the carrier's 300m deck cannot

Both aircraft are naval aircraft... one is intended to operate from aviation vessels, another is planned to (a future aircraft, the XV-xxx Valkyrie)
