New to PBEM, looking for 'friendly'

I've played against the AI a fair few times, looking for a PBEM partner. My prospects of victory are unlikely, just interested in how the game is different against a human being. Prefer a 1940 or 41 start to avoid downtime, flexible on sides (I'm guessing normally the weaker player should take the Allies?)

How does communication between players work? Not familiar with the platform

I am looking for The Land on the challenges but it's not there. Has someone accepted your game?
For comms, there is a button on the right of the screen that allows a certain number of characters to be typed. Players see them in the top-left of the screen. For longer missives, use forum PM.
