Hoverboard General?

I am no doubt not alone in having seen this:

Is "Hoverborne" a future shoulder tab for the infantry? Submitted for discussion.

The maned hover board for military use? The one demonstrated, As easy as it would be to see from the hover board down easier target to be shot down. I don't see it being used in direct combat.

The unmanned hover craft are definitely in the future of direct combat use.

I recall seeing something like that in Spider-man cartoon. Is mentioned in Hammer's Slammers books, but those are shaped as bikes.

Ya they would be great to get across rough terrain but not for actual fighting to big a target.

Going over minefields and that would be about it. But then you are on the wrong side of the minefield in reference to your support. It might be unstable if the terrain is too rough.
