Following Hellen_slith and Larry, I created an open challenge in PBEM++ for Operation Nordwind 1945.

I'll take the US and a new fellow can take the Germans and attack.

I can maybe take you on.
I'm not a "new" player per se(old ACOW player), but I have recently purchased TOAW IV and gotten back into it after a 4 year hiatus.
