Panzerkrieg - Rzhev salient: I don't understand the primary objectives

Yes, it's me again, not understanding the game (seems I chose a good user name).
In the Rzhev scenario there is one primary objective, saying "Hold at least 3 primary VPs" (there are 4), and another primary objective is "Control all primary VPs by the end".
If I achieve the second objective I also achieve the first, don't I? Or is there a difference between hold and control?
Or does hold mean "Don't even lose it temporarily"?

If you achieve "Control all primary VPs by the end" you also achieve "Hold at least 3 primary VPs".
What is then the interest of the objective "Hold at least 3 primary VPs" ?

I took a look at Rzhev. It's a matter of timing, really.
In a nutshell, there are four primary VP's on the map. "Hold at least 3 Primary VP" means you must do exactly that, at all times. If you ever drop to holding only two primary VP's, there's a trigger in there that fails the "Hold at least 3 Primary VP" objective AND the "Control all primary VPs by the end" objective.
The mission description for the "Control all primary VPs by the end" objective is "If we lose any primary VPs, they must be retaken before the end of the operation." "They" in that sentence is a bit misleading - it should be "it" - in that you are allowed to drop to holding three primary VP's but that's it. You lose two primary VP's, you fail both objectives as mentioned above.
So to complete "Control all primary VPs by the end," just always have at least 3 primary VP's in hand and, if you lose one primary VP, take it back by the end of the scenario. "Hold" and "Control" are synonymous.
Hey, not a dumb question nor a dumb user! [;)]
