An often neglected and overlooked conflict although there is one scenario floating about which deals with the war as a whole. Zooming in on the individual battles using the smaller ground scales eg 1km = 1 hex) night be worth while. Perhaps Asal Uttar, Phillora, Chawindi, the fighting on the Lahore Front would present interesting games between balanced armoured/ combined arms forces.

There are sources out there especially online which deal with the war in sufficient detail to make this a viable project for someone

Good job! Sounds like your volunteering!

The best way to learn is to build one.

The "Patton Nagar" battlefield is more suited to tactical games IMO. Pakistani losses tied to the terrain and consequent anti-armor ambushes by the Indian troops.

Cheers

Asal Uttar was a three day battle. Given the forces involved and the size of the battlefield one might be looking at 1 hex - 1 km, company size unitsn hourly turns to capture the tactical action
