Multiplayer authentication issue

When I enter multiplayer mode I get a pop up that displays the text "Serial number check failed. Your IP address has been locked out for 10 minutes."

Were you in the beta Funker33? Are you running the Steam or GOG versions of the game?

I have the same issue on steam. I was not lucky enough to be in the beta. The error is Serial Number Check Failed. Lobby System Error.

Has anyone been able to access multiplayer yet? I keep getting a server error.

message passed on to the server team to look at, as a few have reported the same issue and can see other games are atm having issues, so seems it's being worked on as i type
