How to Connect Multiplayer??

My friend and I are both on Steam. He is hosting, but I can not see him and he can not see me. Is there a way to fix this?
I also found that my game is not showing registered on my matrix or slitherine account pages. I am unable to find my steam serial number. However, my steam account is linked.

I got locked out for ten mins after unlinking and relinking my steam account. But it seems to be working now.

There is a bug where logging in via your email rather than your username can cause lobby issues. Please try logging in with your username and it should allow you to correctly interact in the lobby.

I did. I logged in with my username instead of my email and got locked out for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, it just seemed to work.

Was this issue solved, my brother and I are getting the same issue. We are logging in with our usernames.
I am login in with my merged Slitherine/Matrix account. Not sure about my brother.
Nothing happens when one of us hosts. There is no button to join the game. Very frustrating...

The Join button should appear when you mouse over the list entry for the hosting player. Is this not happening?

I am looking fine in Multi-player, however, my friend is not seeing anything more than just the people in the lobby. He is seeing no chats, or invites or ways to join. I do not see him in the lobby, but I can see everyone else. He sees everyone, but that is all.

So he can get into the lobby and cannot see any chat etc? Is he definitely running an updated version, and not logging in with his email address?
