Crashing

Post by wakman »

Game crashes when I try to load saved games, and when I tried to run updater. Can I get my money back? I downloaded Longest Day at the same time, it runs great! What gives?

welcome to the forum and sorry for your issues,

to update the game, it has to be installed as admin on a full admin permissions pc, as that will setup the correct file permissions to run and grab the updates, other way is to manually download the update,.

regarding crashes, that could be anything else running on the pc tbh

a report will sort that out and see what is causing the issue,

How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments rather than pasted into the body of the post.

once the report has been made, just attach it to your post as it's a Txt file which is then permitted to attach to the forum.

so to recap, install as admin, and run as admin, then game works, and so will the updater, unless you have a really game unfriendly and poor Antivirus and firewall suite, which would need manually altering to allow the update or even the game to run.

and the site doesn't give refunds for games, only steam does that if you have used for less than a given amount of time and within a given period i'm sorry to say, if you bought from here, you also get a steam key, i use the steam and site version on windows 10, with no issue, regarding running or installing or updating with the default apps running in the background.

I don't have installed the game as administator but since I read this thread, I'm playing as administrator and no more crashes happens.
