The patch finds my install on my "I" SSD drive by default. I also have the 1.036 game installed under C:\Matrix Games. I have only modded database text files, but found it handy to have a copy.

I am hesitant to just copy the whole updated game on the SSD to my C:\ drive. Should I just do it, or is there a safer way?

Is it possible to have the Matrix version installed two times on a Windows system? Perhaps I misunderstood something.

I would not update the game by copying files manually. I'm not very familiar with how the installer and uninstaller work, but it's better to use them to make sure that the game and future patches work correctly.
