"Invalid Serial Number" on PBEM++ Login

I'm getting the above message when trying to log in. The serial is registered. Is there an issue with the server or something? Or is it just new release teething pains?

the game server may not be online for the game, you may just have to wait a while longer for it to activate, but past on to support to make sure

hi guys,

We apologise for the issue, we are looking into it and have a good idea what's the cause, and will publish a fix ASAP.

Just to elaborate a little - we found a bug yesterday which we fixed... but introduced this instead. We tested and all appeared fine, but this issue only appears for new users, not existing players. Our clean system testing to catch issues like this completed a week ago, so we managed to slot this bug in at the only point it could not be detected.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your feedback, please download the WarPlan-Hotfix.zip attached and follow the instructions to fix the Invalid serial issue.

There is a set of instructions within the zip for you to follow, please do so :)

Summarised below too!

Unzip folder to somewhere on your computer (this can be on your desktop for example)
Inside unzipped folder - Select all contents of the folder and copy to the root install folder of WarPlan (where you installed the game to)
It should ask you to replace 4 files, please do so.

Before running the game, make sure to delete the "playerData.dat" file if it is present in your "Documents\My Games\WarPlan" folder.

Thank you

Sam

Super frustrating. Bought this only for a multiplayer go and cant get past the multiplayer log in screen

Downloaded the hotfix

Installed in the root directory.

Still: "Invalid serial number" or "login incorrect"

Please some guidance or help.

Did the "update" from the main start screen.

That apparently fixed the issue. Concerned it seems a bit unstable with MP though. Hopefully this is locked down :)

I just bought Warplan and I'm getting the same error code on trying multiplayer. I tried installing and doing the hotfix and it didn't fix it. Furthermore, it fails to download updates and tells me to contact Matrix. So I'm contacting Matrix. What next?

........update. I just found and deleted the " "playerData.dat" if it is present in your "Documents\My Games\WarPlan" folder" and now can connect to the multiplayer server. It also now allows access to updates...which it is grinding through, and now says that it is unable to download the file. Sigh...

...I have to say, I just downloaded the game. Shouldn't it at least be the "updated" version when I get it? You guys really need to work on this.
