Raiders

It seems you can only switch on 'Raider' in Fleet mode if you have at least 1 OP point remaining. Is that WAD?

Yes otherwise it creates a gamey mechanism of going fleet mode, searching, then going raider mode not to be found. Which is unfair.

But it penalises my 'real' raiders. I wish to send out my units in raid mode means I can only move once per turn. Thus my range is cut in two. It kind of negates the raider mode.

Why not just make it not possible to switch from Fleet to Raider outside of port. But you can switch from Raider to Fleet outside port. So you must switch on Raider in Port before sailing, and that is the only time you can do it.

The switch costs 1 point.
It does not reset to Fleet Mode each new turn.

So in T1 you set your things in raider mode, and in T2 you send them out as raiders.

Errata - forgive me, it resets to Fleet mode at the start of each turn. Then I think it should stick to the mode it was the previous turn.

I'd also be in favor of an indication on the counter what mode it is in. I never knew it reset every turn.

I think it needs a rethink at least.

Plus an indication on the counter like Budd says.
