So after repelling the first Normandy landings, the allies launched another invasion at Normandy. I rapidly responded once again to contain these new landings. However, the allies used what I can only refer to as sorcery to obliterate my efforts. See below

As you can see, there were no battles, my units just simply vanished from the battle without a trace. I am at a total loss.

I re-ran the turn and the same thing happened. I also tried to see if I could find the units that disappeared and I for instance found the 2nd SS in East Prussia with 0 of everything

Hi,
I suffered misterious retreats from Paris playing Axis side against the WA-AI.
I reported it in the Tech support.
I think that maybe there is some sort of bug "helping" the WA-AI whenever a human Axis is a real problem for them to advance. Your problem and mine makes me think that maybe the bug is centered in Normandy-Paris, because I never experienced anything similar in Italy.
Anyway, I recommend to you to post into the tech support forum attaching the saved file of the turn previous to the "ghost battles" in Normandy.
In my case I only suffered a "forced" retreat from Paris, without losses. Your case is different, because it seems that you have suffered hugh losses.
Maybe it was a surrender en masse??? Maybe Stauffenberg bomb was a success?? [:D] [;)]

Can you please provide the save just before the AI made this strange move? It's clearly not correct. We've been looking for another case of this kind of strange move. I'll move this to the tech support area and you can either attach the save there or email it to
2by3@2by3games.com. Thanks.

Using the save from npsergio, Gary was able to find the smoking gun causing the AI to take control of German occupied hexes. We're working on getting an exe so we can test the fix. Once we get this exe, you can email us at
2by3@2by3games.com and I may be able to send you the exe so you can test the fix yourself. Thanks to both of you for reporting this problem.

I've attached a hotfix exe file that appears to fix this bad AI bug. Please check it out and let us know if you see any other AI issues with it. Thanks.

In my case, it seems to work properly. [:)]
