Any chance of seeing this in the future ?

Shorebombardment is already in the game.
You need to have a fleet with in a hex when you invade i belive then the fleet support automaticly.

I've not used it much, so don't understand all the details, but Naval Shore Support is on page 100 of the game manual.

Simple if a fleet is in the hex of the unit it helps it. No need to fidget with bomb this hit that.
