I can't find a reference in rules to the horrible Russian winter where all the Axis units lose 1 to 3 SPs.
Anybody know when that is?
Rules/manual page reference please if available.

"Also bear in mind that the weather in Russia is generally at its best between in the summer, and one impediment that will have to be faced when invading the USSR is that our troops will suffer greatly during their first winter campaign there. All units could suffer the loss of up to 2 strength points, in addition to significant morale losses, and only Finnish units are exempt. "

Russian winter hit January 2, 1942

the first winter you have troops in russia is when the winter campaign hits

"our troops will suffer greatly during their first winter campaign there"

It varies. As I recall the odds start climbing from some point maybe Jan '42 until the event triggers.

Thunder, I concur. I have seen the Russian winter kick in both before and at the end of the Axis January 1942 turn.
I have also seen the winter sometimes effect German units in Finland.
