How to pull out merchant marine

As Germany my opponent has thea large allied fleet destorying my merchant marine in the norway to germany route.. the escorts arent numerous. While France is still alive i want to save my merchant marine from getting destoryed turn after turn but the unused marine keep replace the sunk ones. At the moment i want to stop this route and save my merchant Marine...How cant i do this? i cant see anyway of pulling my marine off the route

The question should be - despite actual game mechanics - how important is Swedish Iron ore for the German war machine and should it be possible to pause these convoys, while simultaneously ramping up production?

Ochh didnt know about this..Well any commander one would think should have the abilty to stop this
