Superhans and I started with the first scenario, and we plan to play all the scenarios in chronological order. The Axis forces (Italians) are invading Egypt, and have the Commonwealth forces on their heals. I am the CW, and Superhans is the Axis. This scenario is quite a puzzle with the early unit types, wide open desert, escarpment passes, naval support, etc. The screen shots are from turn 15 of 36, and show some areas of the battle. The first screen shows the CW hard pressed to hold Sollum, and Halfaya Pass. It is tense for the CW because it is hard to determine if to defend or retreat.

The next screens show the CW ambushing the Italian motorcycle recon units. This really highlights how well the fog of war is modeled in this game.

The ambush now turns into a meeting engagement, as the CW recon unit pushes through the previous ambush site. That is really cool how all this works in the Execution phase.

I like this window that shows all the battles in the previous Execution phase.

I am not sure why the previous screens are not showing. I am attaching the current game situation. Still barely holding Sollum and the Halfaya Pass. The Italians are assaulting both locations.

Situation farther to the east. Allied reinforcements are starting to arrive. The Italians are infiltrating with recon units. I have recaptured Sofafi.
