Can you transit Vichy Syria (as an ally of the Axis) to pass German troops -- say I wanted to attack Turkey from the south?

Now, can one opt out of "Vichy" when France surrenders, which means more fighting. How do you defeat Vichy (capture what?? Vichy??). Then, what happens to French N. Africa and Syria ... Axis??

In 1.00.03 taking all brown and green numbered cities forces a surrender without Vichy

I have no idea what you mean "brown" versus "green" numbered cities ... please explain so players are not totally confused.

Thanks for your answer, but I also asked the question when Vichy France is conquered by the Axis, what happens to North Africa (ex. Algeria) and Syria?
Specifically, do they become Axis by surrender, or, must they be invaded/conquered?

They become Free. You broke the agreement and they are pissed now. The Vichy fleet goes free.
