I have a game where I moved a US maritime bomber into the Middle East, and noticed that it's extended spotting range applied not just to sea hexes, but to land hexes as well. It lit up areas deep into the desert, far from any sea hex.

I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to work that way, but it is at the moment.

Just a heads up.

I wonder if it was your fighters with LRA that gave you the extra spotting? LRA gives +1 land spotting per level to fighters. Nothing else gets extra land spotting with LRA and maritime bombers start with 2. Maritime bombers get +2 naval spotting from LRA.

I'm quite certain it was the maritime bombers. It had a 6 hex radius around it that was visible, on land. In the desert. If I could figure out how to post a picture from the snipping tool.. I could show you. But I am not quite savvy enough... I always get an error..and I don't know why.....

That does sound odd as Maritime Bombers have a land spotting range of 2 and it doesn't increase with Long Range Aircraft upgrades.

Has anyone else got this issue/able to recreate it?

It only did it on the turn it was operated in, not subsequently. I captured the screen shot with the snipping tool, but I could not figure out how to get it from the tool to the post.

Thanks and I believe this is now fixed for the next update as I already have it listed as such on my end.

- Fixed a Maritime Bomber FoW sight error that was still lifting too much of the FoW shroud (Hvs).

So I am not going crazy...ok, I'll step back from the ledge..
