creating DB

When I looked at the forum it said to go into the explorer and make copy of file etc etc, but there is also a copy dialogue within the game so are both possible?

When I looked at the forum it said to go into the explorer and make copy of file etc etc, but there is also a copy dialogue within the game so are both possible?
The copy function within the editor only copies entries within the currently loaded DB. So for example, if you wanted to make a modified M60 Patton for a new faction or something, you can copy an existing one as a base to start from.
To make a new DB you still have to copy the existing default DB and change the DB name field in eras.xml
