The Romanian naval unit in the Black Sea has a Romanian naval counter until Romania becomes part of the Axis. Then the counter changes to a German counter. The detailed information still refers to the unit as Romanian.

The same is true of every minor naval unit on the map. For example Norway's naval unit is Norwegian until Germany declares war. Then the counter becomes British.

From page 31 of the manual, "Surrendering nations usually have their convoys, escorts, and naval units transferred to the control of the closest ally." I am assuming this is what is happening.

But should it not happen until the country surrenders?

Very small issue. Might even be working as intended. Don't think it causes any problems. Just curious.

I think this is WAD. The same is Vichy or Turkish naval forces. They change to UK after country surrenders.

I actually declared war on Turkey and the naval unit became Russian on the AIs first turn after the declaration of war. Turkey had not surrendered.

This is done so it is clear what alliance the fleet counter is from.
