If your trade isn't going through be sure to check the convoys and escorts making sure that the routes are enabled. This is a new feature that I couldn't by default in your saved games turn on.
Also be sure your opponent is updated to 1.00.03
Click the convoy just like toggling naval groups.

You will lose 1 turn of convoy production because by default the convoys were turned OFF. That I can't fix in saved games because it is a new function.

We have one issue that needs a hotfix patch for Tuesday I am resolving. It affects older games.
