Used German paratroopers through the French campaign. Now in Russia they will not drop. Have all the requirements (air transport, 100% efficiency, not next to enemy unit). Only thing I can think of is that I did give them the Tank Destroyer Specialty after the battle in France. Could this be doing it?

What are the weather conditions?
Heavy rain or snow maybe?

I forgot to add when Paratoopers can drop in the manual. I believe it is clear, rain, or snow. Whenever air can fly

Just checked. The weather is clear. Can send you a save if that would help. Again only thing that I can see different is attaching a Specialist to the parachute unit.

Ok I checked... it is CLEAR weather only. I added a note to include it in the game manual.

Alvaro answered my problem in another post. I was trying to drop in friendly territory which is not possible. Also, though not a factor here, it has to be clear weather.

I am trying to wrap my head around paratroop operations but I am at a loss...[&:]

Situation: testing game axis vs AI. July 1940, still fighting France...

1st Fallschirmjaeger is sitting in Antwerp. Supplied, 100% effectiveness. Weather clear. I have 3 idle air transports. The only way I have to move the paratroopers is by land or by ship...

How to drop them ? Certainly I am doing something wrong...

Any help appreciated.

They can only drop into enemy territory within 8 hexes.

Just select them and hover over an enemy territory
