KCTC is Korean version of NTC. Terrain of KCTC field is totally different from Fort Irwin, more mountains, forests, and streams.

During defense
2:30 OPFOR light infantry raid
2:40 BLUFOR recon/light infantry infiltration
2:55 SIGINT and enemy artillery on BLUFOR HQ
3:27 Fake tank sound using speaker
During offense
4:12 OPFOR light infantry raid
4:17 Chemical
4:47 Air assault ops to strike OPFOR rear + infiltration
6:17 BLUFOR light infantry raid on OPFOR HQ + CAS / fire support
Plus, check the interview at last part. Poor lady tried hard to hold the tears, and I feel sorry for battalion commander...
I wish AB shows this level of immersion and feeling of achievement / reward / disappointment at the end of the game. Of course it would be impossible to be real as AB is also a commercial simulator, but some options like enhanced replay and AAR with detailed kill list per units and dramatic music would help to feel a glimpse of it [:)] If I can change AAR music, I wish to use Hymn to the Fallen.

In this vid, from 2:25, OPFOR light infantry / SF raid team successfully annihilated BLUFOR HQ. Of course, that was very bad day for BLUFOR guys. Usually senior officer take over HQ role, and if entire HQ officers are gone then senior company leader take over HQ role. But that process takes some amount of time and effort, which is very precious on the battlefield. This depends on situation, but usually if such thing happens (OPFOR SF/light infantry annihilates all HQ officers and NCOs) then the end would not be happy for BLUFOR, typically.
Those are the reason why I insisted to implement "commander HQ" in the last post. https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4718276 Impact of HQ KIA is really critical on the battlefield and in AB this is not well depicted.

Interesting point of this vid is the last phase, OPFOR attempts blitzkrieg style armored assault, which surprised BLUFOR defense.

5:30 HQ under attack, all officers KIA except operation officer. 7:25 PsyOps, and fake attack with speaker of tank sound almost worked but OPFOR didn't bite the bait at the end.

When I was active, there were no MILES or laser engagement system at least for our unit. MILES was in test for ROK army back then, and probably OPFOR units & some people in our division were using them. But I never had a chance to use them like those videos. But still, some of the key features were quite similar:
- SF/light infantry raid (DPRK KPA is known to have huge amount of light infantry / recon / SF)
- Chemical (almost always)
- Information from SIGINT and ELINT (usually observer officer made those situations)
- Fake sound and fake smokes and fake tents
- A lot of artillery, and artillery strike on HQ (HQ position tracked by recon or ELINT / SIGINT)
- blitzkrieg style armored + mech assault.
KPA OP was (and still is) always involved with commando style raid on friendly HQ or artillery, and heavy use of artillery with chemical, almost 50/50 ratio of several agents + HE mixed with airburst and WP. Conventional balance of battle field is very weighted to ROK side, so KPA relied on unconventional tactics, artillery, and NBC. It was same when I was active and it seems it is still the same. As we see from those vids, KPA tried to "shake & weaken" ROK (and US) forces by SF/light infantry / recon deep strike on HQ + chemical + a lot of artillery. Then they try very sharp but critical armored + mech assault at the most convenient timing to maximize the damage. (Sometimes OPFOR brought very typical Soviet style assault OP but that was rare) I think, maybe Soviet Red army and PLA would have prepared similar tactics and doctrine during cold war as a plan B or one of the possible option. As a recon, we usually infiltrated to OPFOR side to gather info and usually drop arty or precision airstrike in good timing. But time to time we also attempted raid to OPFOR HQ. Sometimes we conducted COIN style counter OPFOR SF/light infantry raid team, but that was very rare. I'm not sure how 11th ACR behaved in NTC when they reenacts the Soviet Red army of PLA in full-scale war situation during cold war.

I really didn't like army issued gas mask around my time. Not sure about the mask of these days. Some problems of gas mask were:
1) Hard to breath especially when you run or carry heavy things.
2) Sweat + no place for water to go => condensation on the inside surface of eye glass, and you can't see your front!!! Of course there is a mechanism to prevent condensation. But in winter + if you sweat a lot then 'normal', then you can't escape from condensation and foggy vision.
3) Heat fatigue (with MOPP lvl 4) + you can't go potty.
4) Decontamination (on gears, vehicles, tents, etc) takes good amount of effort and time.
If AB introduce chemical, then this should includes fatigue and forced decontamination too.

I'm not sure how much AB can depict those situations. But I wish to see at least some part of them, like SF & light infantry raid, chemical, fake sound / fake smoke / fake units, ELINT and SIGINT, Air assault ...
